At 9PM on a Wednesday night in 2015, we were in Midtown New York City, looking for a cool bar to grab a drink. We wanted to find a fun crowd instead of being the only ones in an empty place. Unfortunately after visiting four bars and being underwhelmed by each of them, we called it a night and split up. The next day, we started working on CrowdHopper because it was absurd that no tech tool was able to help us figure out which bar to go to.
